This morning at 01:44, our volunteers were dispatched automatic aid to the Phoenix Enterprise Fire Company #1 for the reported house fire. The original call put the alarm in the Northwest Fire District but multiple calls changed the address and indicated the roof on fire with attempts being made to get everyone out. Car 2 (DC Roziock) checked out quickly followed by E7 (Capt. Cantello), E4 (Capt. Belczak), E5 (FF Burke), and Tanker 1 (FF Neish). In all, 19 interior firefighters responded on the structural alarm. Station 3 remained staffed with a Ladder crew while Fairmount fire handled the cover assignment. Crews stretched the initial line while ceilings were being opened up. Due to the quick fire spread and concern for the lightweight truss roof collapse, crews were pulled from the building. Crews eventually went back in to pull ceilings to suppress the fire when the roof collapsed bringing everyone back out. All Baldwinsville volunteers returned to service and cleaned up by 08:00.
