This Friday (November 29th) the Baldwinsville Volunteer Fire Company will be holding a “fill the boot” boot drive throughout the village to raise money to build an indoor training prop/maze. This will increase our training capabilities and allow us to keep training within the district. Currently we borrow or rent training facilities of neighboring departments to conduct vital training exercises on topics like search and rescue or self survival techniques. Having these capabilities will let us hone our skills to be able to find trapped occupants in a house fire with limited to no visibility and to be able to practice firefighter survival techniques to keep our firefighters safe and allow everyone to return home safe to their family!

The training prop will be designed to allow as many different training topics as possible to increase its versatility and increase its benefits to our members with room to grow in the future.

As always we would like to thank the Baldwinsville Community for their continued support and look forward to a successful boot drive fundraiser this Friday and appreciate every penny we can raise as we approach the holiday season!
