At 14:52 on 10/26/19 our volunteers with Automatic Aid were dispatched for the reported house fire with an active fire in the residence on Elizabeth Street. Several crews were staffed in-house and arrived within 2 minutes to find smoke showing with an active fire in the basement. Ladder 3 (Lt. DiGregorio) arrived, established a water supply and stretched a house line to the basement. Engine 7 arrived, pulled an additional house line to protect the interior stair and check for extension while Truck 3 handled ventilation. Engines 4 and 2 provided manpower and assisted on-scene companies. The fire was extinguished within 5 minutes and companies were scaled back. Thank you to our automatic aid companies for covering our stations while crews picked up. The Greater Baldwinsville Ambulance Corps provided the EMS coverage.
