Shortly after 11:30 AM on Friday July 20th the Baldwinsville Fire department was activated for an engine company automatic aid to the Plainville Fire District for a report of a car fire. Plainville Car 1 (Chief Stock) and Baldwinsville Car 2 (D/C Roziock) quickly marked enroute. Baldwinsville Car 2 arrived to find an active engine compartment fire approximately 10 feet from the house. Baldwinsville Engine 4 (Lt. Catalino) arrived followed shortly by Baldwinsville Engine 8 (Capt. Neish) and were able to quickly extinguish the fire with the trash line off of engine 4. Engine 8's crew assisted by opening up the hood to assist in supression and assisted with final overhaul and wetdown. Units were picked up and in service within an hour.
