At 12:10 this afternoon Baldwinsville volunteers were dispatched automatic aid to the Phoenix Enterprise Fire Company #1 for the reported house fire on State St. in the Village of Phoenix. Phoenix Engine 4 and Chiefs arrived to find fire showing and mounted an aggressive interior attack. Baldwinsville Engine 91 (duty engine) and Car 3 responded with in-house personnel while Engine 4 responded as requested by the box assignment. Engine 91 laid 900' of supply line and assisted with the interior attack while Moyers Corners Fire Department Engine 11 laid 900' from the opposite direction. Engine 4 arrived and assisted with pulling ceilings to access the bulk of the fire. Due to deteriorating conditions, companies were pulled out of the house. Rescue 6 responded and was requested for additional manpower. Companies remained on scene for several hours to work on overhaul. Multiple Onondaga and Oswego departments operated or covered fire stations. Our thoughts are with the family while they attempt to recover from this tragedy.
