3x3x3 MULTIPLE ALARM FIRE. Busy night for Baldwinsville volunteers as we've ran 4 alarms which started with the multiple alarm fire at the conifer village apartments. Baldwinsville volunteers were dispatched at 16:16 for the reported kitchen fire. Onondaga County fire dispatchers gave additional reports of multiple calls being received for the fire at the location. BC3 (Chief Kennedy) quickly arrived with fire showing from the first floor of a 2 story apartment complex and immediately indicated a Signal 99, indicating a working fire with additional resources. Car 1 (Chief Rutherford) then arrived and requested a third alarm assignment to the scene. Engine 7 (FF Cantello) arrived, established a water supply, positioned leaving room for the aerial devices and advanced a handline to the fire apartment. Rescue 6 and Ladder 3 (Lt. Belczak) arrived and completed the primary searches of the adjoining apartments. Searches were negative and the crew from ladder 3 performed vertical ventilation. Ladder 2 arrived and completed secondary searches. Additional responding companies completed additional tasks. Responding mutual aid companies included Belgium Cold Springs, Moyers Corners Fire Department, Liverpool FD, Phoenix FD, Plainville (NY) Fire Department, Lysander FD, Jordan Ambulance provided the rehab sector, GBAC.

As companies were released and a call was quickly received to assist GBAC with an unconscious person.

Next, companies were dispatched to St. Mary's Church on Syracuse Street for a fire alarm activation. Crews investigated and found burnt popcorn.

Finally, crews were dispatched for a fire alarm activation at the Tops store on Downer Street. As crews were responding, Onondaga County fire control upgraded the assignment for a water flow activation with the smell of smoke in the structure. Crews investigated to confirm water flow in the building with a burning odor. Within an hour, crews returned to service and to our monthly department business meeting.

We would like to thank all of our mutual aid companies for their assistance today as resource were pushed to the limit and especially with wind chills below zero.
