On 10/17/14 Baldwinsville Engine 5 responded automatic aid to the Lakeside fire district for a reported motor vehicle accident in the area of the 690/695 interchange which was called in by Lakeside Car 1. Baldwinsville Engine 5 was staffed for the entire day with a full crew and responded as the call was being dispatched. As the in-house crews was responding, additional updates indicated a roll over with a person trapped under the vehicle. E5 arrived in less than 6 minutes with the victim removed by passing citizens and medical care being provided by Lakeside Car 1. Lakeside Rescue 1 as well as several ambulance corps responded to the accident. Unfortunately the victim succumb to their injuries and we ask that you keep their family and friends in your thoughts and prayers. We would also like to thank the citizens that stopped to help in this difficult situation.
During the entire day, the Baldwinsville E91 crew responded to a total of 6 alarms for service.
